I am officially moved in and very much relieved how things have gone and I have been encouraged to let a few boxes of “things” go and let my little house breathe. And maybe I can be able to breathe again too.
Happy days are here again. The little extra room is nice to have and definitely good for this little old lady.
I am amazed how I have received suggestions from family and friends, and this old gal is paying attention.
I have had a good lesson and reminder that it is definitely Ok to slow down a bit and actually really concentrate on ourselves for a moment or two. Sometimes it’s necessary to catch our breath — it is Ok.
I am actually taking time out for a breather and making more plans for rearranging a few of my earlier ideas and put a few things on hold. As they sometimes say, take a moment and make sure you are heading in the right direction — and take time to enjoy the moment.

Our little cul-de-sac is so enjoyable and makes me even more excited as each day passes. I am not totally unpacked and I may never be totally unpacked but I am certainly going to try.
Please keep those who need more comfort and help in our prayers and always try not to be so busy that we forget the others around us who may need a bit more attention. Always be ready to lend a hand or just listen. Life gets hard at times and we need to be ready to lend that extra hand when we need to.
I always remember what my mom told me when I was in tears one day. She had to remind me that we cannot fix everything ourselves and that is when we have to stop, look up and ask for help.
I also remember what my dad told me. Things were not going well one day many years ago and I started to cry in front of my dad, which I never usually did. He told me to slow down, first of all, then go out in the hilly pasture, catch my horse and get on and ride her to the top of one of the hills, which I did.
Several hours later I walked my pony to the barn, gave her a bit of grain and thanked her for being so calm with me that day and for listening to me. And the best dad in the world hit the nail on the head. I sure do miss that man.
I am so lucky to have so many friends and family around me these past few months. I am very very grateful, indeed.
Take time out when you need it and forgive yourself when you do take time out. Have a fantastic week, everyone.
