Holiday World celebrating its birthday with special drone show Saturday
SANTA CLAUS, Ind. (WFIE) – Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari is putting on a show this weekend in celebration of their 78th birthday.
Organizers say on Saturday, August 4, they are doing a special edition of the Holidays in the Sky drone and fireworks show that will feature new scenes that pay tribute to the park’s birthday.
“This is a one-of-a-kind show,” says Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Fourth Generation Owner & Director of Communications. “On August 3, 1946, my Great-Grandfather, Louis J. Koch, opened Santa Claus Land. 78 years later, we get to celebrate our legacy of wonderful family memories with something previous generations couldn’t have even imagined. We hope everyone will join us in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ Saturday night.”
Holidays in the Sky Drone & Fireworks Spectacular runs daily through August 4. The last day of daily operations for Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari is Tuesday, August 13.
