New Business Manager selected for Williston Basin School District

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) – The Williston Basin School District board has approved a contract for a new Business Manager.

Michael Arnold is expected to sign this week and start September 2.

Arnold is the CFO of the Stillwater Public School District in Oklahoma and has worked as a Business Manager in Billings and Havre over the past 15 years. Williston Basin Superintendent Richard Faidley says Arnold has family in Glasgow but will live in Williston.

Faidley says the district found Arnold through a national firm search.

“He kind of resonated to the top with his experience being familiar with the Midwest, and having experience in Montana was huge for us. When we interviewed him as a committee, he was the right fit,” said Faidley.

Arnold will be paid an annual salary of $161 thousand, four thousand dollars less than previous Business Manager Kent Anderson, who resigned in May.

Arnold will be the third Business Manager of the Williston Basin School District since 2021.
