Cuyahoga County Fair opens today with discounted admission, live entertainment

BEREA, Ohio — The 127th annual Cuyahoga County Fair kicks off on today, Aug. 6, with discounted $5 admission prices for veterans with ID, seniors 60 and over and children 12 and under to celebrate opening day.

Tuesday’s entertainment lineup features:

  • Harness racing (free grandstand event)
  • Opening day parade, junior fair pie and pickle eating contests
  • Jungle Bob Bug and animal shows, Grand Illusions by the Blooms Magic Show
  • Music by SupaFun Band, Brian Brenner Elvis & Oldies Tributes
  • Hypnotist and magician David Anthony, Glow/Fire Hula Hoopers, Circus Man Jason D’Vaude

The fair runs through Aug. 11 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds located at 19201 East Bagley Road in Berea. Hours are noon to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

General fair gate admission is $10 Tuesday through Thursday and $12 Friday through Sunday.

Gate admission prices do not include rides, games or the demolition derby event on Sunday. All-day ride wristbands allowing unlimited access to midway rides are available for $25 on Tuesday through Thursday, and $30 on Friday through Sunday.

Active military members with valid ID and children under 2 receive free admission all week.

Free parking is available in the fairgrounds parking lot.
