Back-to-school shopping event pairs ‘Cops and Kids’

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – It’s time for kids to get ready to head back to the classroom, so local police officers are taking students shopping!

It’s the sixth annual Cops and Kids Back-to-School shopping event at Scheels in Fargo on Wednesday, August 7th at 5:30 p.m.

Hosted by the Fraternal Order of Police Red River Valley Lodge #1, the program aims to provide school supplies, clothing, and shoes amongst a variety of items to children in the community.

Law enforcement say it’s also a time for children to meet and interact with officers in a positive setting.
