A battle royal will determine the next women’s world champion

Just a number of days ago, we learned rumors and reports of Rhea Ripley suffering an injury bad enough to force her to vacate the women’s world championship were true. She appeared on Monday Night Raw to leave the title in the ring while promising to come back stronger than ever.

WWE would reveal later in the show that a new champion would be crowned on next week’s episode of Raw in Columbus but they didn’t say exactly how. That changed during Friday Night SmackDown this week when a commercial aired promoting the resolution to this problem.

A battle royal, of course!

Here are the names of the women included in the video promoting it:

  • Becky Lynch
  • Liv Morgan
  • Nia Jax
  • Maxxine Dupri
  • Chelsea Green
  • Natalya
  • Katana Chance
  • Indi Hartwell
  • Zoey Stark
  • Kayden Carter
  • Candice LeRae
  • Shayna Baszler
  • Xia Li
  • Tegan Nox
  • Piper Niven
  • Ivy Nile

Li has revealed she is no longer with WWE, so she won’t be in, but it’s reasonable to expect almost every other woman on the roster will be.

Stay tuned.
