Harlem’s Fashion Row’s 17th annual Fashion Show and Style Awards will take place Sept. 3 in Harlem.
The event, themed “Night of the Legends,” will celebrate trailblazing designers, influential fashion icons and the creativity that shapes the future of fashion, according to HFR. The private location won’t be disclosed until closer to the event.
Presenting designers are Aaron Potts, LaTouche and Nicole Benefield. Boss will be the title sponsor. In a special highlight, the event will showcase the Naomi x Boss 2.0 capsule collection. Naomi Campbell has built a relationship with the brand over the past few seasons. The fall 2024 capsule offers “laid-back pieces that are luxurious and performance-oriented, with a focus on innovative materials and elevated details,” HFR said.
Launched in February, the first Naomi x Boss collection featured essentials in modern silhouettes with the brand’s signature tailoring, along with outerwear, pieces created from custom technical fabrics, leisure styles and footwear.
The Style Awards will honor Shiona Turini as Stylist of the Year, Samira Nasir of Harper’s Bazaar as Editor of the Year and Campbell as Icon of the Year. In addition, LVMH will present the Virgil Abloh Award Presented by LVMH, a tribute to the late fashion designer and entrepreneur known for his streetwear and luxury clothing, for the third year in a row. This year’s recipient is yet to be named.
“We are deeply grateful for the many years of support from our audience in highlighting and honoring multicultural talent. This year, we have some remarkable honorees. We value their impact and want to acknowledge their contribution to fashion at this event,” said Brandice Daniels, chief executive officer of Harlem’s Fashion Row.
