1 MONTH ALERT: World of Outlaws Late Models Trek South to Duel at Senoia, Talladega in Mid-September | World of Outlaws

Two weekends in September will set the stage for the 2024 World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model championship finale, starting with big paydays at Senoia Raceway and Talladega Short Track.

The Series will return to Georgia’s Senoia Raceway for the first time since 2021 with a $15,000 top prize on the line on Saturday, Sept. 14. Then, after rain put a pause on the event in April, drivers will finally compete for the $35,000 payday in the 75-lap Alabama Gang 100 at the Talladega Short Track on Sunday, Sept. 15.

When the Series last visited Senoia Raceway, Senoia’s own Ashton Winger scored his third career World of Outlaws victory. He also became the third straight different Series winner at the 3/8-mile dirt track. Brandon Sheppard won the Series’ debut in 2017 and then Chris Madden won the following year.

In April, the World of Outlaws raced through Friday’s preliminary races at Talladega with Dylan Knowles and MD3 Rookie of the Year contender Max McLaughlin picking up surprise victories. Then, on Saturday Heat Races and Last Chance Showdowns were completed before rain came and postponed the Feature.

At the time of the Feature in April, Trey Mills was set to start on the pole with Ricky Thornton Jr. on the outside pole. For the top-three championship contenders, points leader Brandon Sheppard had the seventh starting spot, Nick Hoffman had the 21st starting spot and Bobby Pierce had the 10th starting spot. (This is subject to change pending who is able to return in September).

If you can’t make it to the tracks, you can watch both events live on DIRTVision.
