Multiple businesses burglarized in Tucker shopping center
TUCKER, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Multiple businesses were burglarized in the Hugh Howell Marketplace shopping center in Tucker early Thursday morning.
At least one of the thefts was caught on camera.
Surveillance video shows a window being smashed at the Magical Waxing. Two masked suspects then unlock the door and take a register and touch screen.
An employee there told Atlanta News First they were broken into the exact same way last year.
According to our news partners at Decaturish, it happened before 5 a.m. Thursday.
Employees at the Buffalo Wild Wings Go next door as well as Jersey Mikes also said they were burglarized. They said this has happened in the past as well.
First Watch still has a boarded up door.
Employees at First Watch, Jersey Mikes, and Buffalo Wild Wings Go were unable to confirm what exactly was taken.
The employee at Magical Waxing said there was only a dollar in the register the suspects took.
Several downtown Tucker businesses were broken into on Main Street last month, just about a mile away from the shopping center.
The businesses hit included Village Burger, Munster Cravings, Corner Cup, and Las Colinas.
There have not been any arrests yet in those cases.
When asked if there could be any connection between the two incidents, DeKalb County Police said they would be looking into it.
