SGPN Parlay For Sunday (August 18th): MLB Parlay

MLB Sunday: Miami Marlins vs New York Mets

Start Time – 12:05 PM EST

For Sunday’s matinee, I like the Marlins to jump out to an early lead and for the game in general to be a low scoring one. While Valente Bellozo may not be a household name, he’s been stellar lately. He has back-to-back scoreless starts against the Reds and Phillies totaling 12.2 innings. He not only should give us a scoreless first but should give the Marlins first five a real chance.

Paul Blackburn got smoked by his former team in his last outing. It’s another reason I like the Marlins on the first five innings. However, on a larger scale, he’s been solid – which is why the Mets traded for him. I expect him to help keep this game on the under.
