MLB Sunday: Minnesota Twins vs Texas Rangers

Start Time – 2:35 PM EST

Going into Sunday’s action, Corey Seager has been a touch cold, and that’s enough to drive down the price of his total bases to where it’s a good play. He has gone under 1.5 total bases in four straight games, which may sound alarm bells. However, on a much larger scale this month, he’s been tearing it up. He has beat the projection in half of the games he’s played this month – largely thanks to his seven dingers. He has an .967 OPS in August and that’s a bat I want to tail.

If that’s not enough to get down with the Texas short stop, check out the pitching matchup for today. He faces Pablo Lopez, who has been adequate as of late. It’s the past between the two that I love though. Seager has faced Lopez six times in his career and has four hits. Three of those four hits left the park yeilding a 2.167 head-to-head slugging. That is a small sample, but good enough for me to believe he gets at least one extra-base hit Sunday.
