Bully Just Got Age Rated For PS5, Xbox Series X|S And More – RockstarINTEL

Rockstar Games’ Bully has just been age rated for new platforms by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee. This has come as a big surprise to fans of the game as a new version certainly was not something people were speculating could happen.

However, there might be a little bit more to the story than what’s on the surface and it involves GTA Online. We’ll get into all of this later in the article.

Firstly, let’s take a look at this new age rating spotted by Gematsu. As you can see in the image below, new Bully Canis Canem Edit submissions were made by Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar’s parent company).

The platforms that have had a new age rating submission are PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360. Gematsu suggests the Xbox 360 inclusion is an error as Bully: Scholarship Edition has another listing.

The body that rates games in Taiwan are one of a few around the world that consistently leak new games or re-releases. The Red Dead Redemption PS4 and Switch version was leaked this way last year but via the South Korean ratings board.

What does this mean?

Currently, PC players and PS4 players (via emulation on the PS Store), and Xbox (via backwards compatibility) can play Bully: Scholarship Edition. Given the new rating is for the Bully Canis Canem Edit version, does many are asking if this means a remaster is coming.

Whilst there is a dedicated community and a lot of wider support for a Bully sequel or remaster, it might not happen and here’s why. Bully was confirmed to join GTA Online’s subscription service GTA+ Tuesday August 20th.

Perhaps, Rockstar Games are preparing a re-release that will be included in GTA+ in the coming days; similar to how Red Dead Redemption came to PS4 then later was part of GTA+. Rockstar Games said last month Bully will be accessible for GTA+ members on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS and Android.
