Nintendo Museum Opens Its Playful Doors in Japan on October 2 – IMDb
The much-anticipated Nintendo Museum will open on October 2 in Japan, with Shigeru Miyamoto himself announcing the news today through a special Nintendo Direct this morning . The Super Mario creator toured the space located in Uji City, Kyoto, showcasing many of the interactive elements of the museum including a recreation of a Japanese apartment in the 1970s, a digital card game display and giant controllers that make you feel like a Pikmin while trying to pick up (and use!) a big Wii Remote. The museum will have a huge exhibition space on the second floor with items from Nintendo’s very long history set up in eras and consoles. The first floor has eight interactive experiences that need digital coins to play. 10 of these coins are given on an entry card when at the museum , which can be customized with your Mii.
