Daniel P. “Dan” Morin



Daniel P. “Dan” Morin, 72, passed peacefully on Friday August 16, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Maureen Fowler with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

Dan was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on September 9, 1951, and was the son of the late Norman and Bernice (Gauvin) Morin. He received his education in Manchester and was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School. He continued his education, studying for two undergraduate degrees. He received a psychology degree from Clark University in Worcester, and a BS in nursing from the University of New Hampshire. He then proudly attended Boston College and graduated with a master’s degree in advanced practice nursing, specializing in mental health.

In his early years of his career, he worked at Edith Nourse Rogers Veteran Hospital in Bedford, MA and more recently was proudly employed as a nurse practitioner at the Community Mental Health Center in Nashua with the job title of Director of Children’s Division. Surrounding his time at the Community Mental Health Century, Dan also had a private practice specializing in children with mental health challenges.

In his free time, Dan was an avid reader and chess player, and loved classical, jazz, and rock music. He traveled to many destinations such as Normandy, France, where his father proudly served and fought during D Day. He was a passionate Red Sox fan, attending and watching many games! Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family whom he loved deeply.

In addition to his wife, Maureen, he is survived by his son, Anthony F. Morin and his wife Brittany of Dublin, CA; his five siblings, Patricia Haggerty and her husband William, James R. Morin, Anne Marie Boisvert and her husband Martin, Teresa Bailey and her husband Kenneth, and Peter Morin and his wife Mary Jane; his dear cousin Glenn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dan’s Funeral Mass on FRIDAY, August 23rd at 10 AM at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 14 Elm Street, Manchester, NH. Interment will take place privately in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan’s name to CASA for CHILDREN, 138 Coolidge Avenue, Manchester, NH 03102.
