Better Business Bureau holds ‘Shred Fest’ 2024
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – The Better Business Bureau of Southwest Louisiana (BBB SWLA) was at S.J Welsh Middle School Saturday for its annual “Shred Fest.”
Over two hundred vehicles drove through discarding bank statements, insurance information and other sensitive files to be shredded.
“Because we don’t want anything to fall into the wrong hands, especially for identity theft purposes, anything that has medical documents, anything that has financial information or personal information, we want to make sure that those are all destroyed properly and securely,” said BBB SWLA President and CEO Angela Guth.
All the shredded documents were sent off to be recycled, according to Guth.
