Budding entrepreneurs: Acton Academy Del Mar holds Children’s Business Fair

Acton Academy Del Mar launched its first Children’s Business Fair with a fun flurry of activity and commerce on April 7 at La Colonia Park in Solana Beach. Eighteen booths filled with an eye-popping array of hand-crafted wares and organic treats filled the cheery courtyard. Children ages 6 to 14, both Academy students and young, entrepreneurial-spirited members of the community, brought their creative visions to life in this one-day business marketplace. Some offerings included home-baked cupcakes featuring a flourless chocolate delight; a wholesome “Joy Spread” blending roasted hazelnuts, dates, and coco butter; sunflower butter snacks; crocheted dolls’ clothing; beaded necklaces; healthy dog treats, and hand-painted miniature sculptures. — See more photos below.
