My Summer Style Guide: Naomi Elizée, Senior Fashion Editor at Vogue
Vogue’s Senior Fashion Editor Naomi Elizée is going back to basics this summer.
What’s your essential summer purchase—and why do you love it?
This summer is all about going back to the basics for me. I decided I would really invest in the essentials—plain white t-shirt, classic button-downs, basic sandals, etc.. I recently purchased a white cotton T-shirt from Toteme that has become an essential part of my closet—it is so versatile. A white t-shirt lasts you through all the seasons, especially when it has a good shape and weight to it. Plus, this one is 100% organic cotton!
Bonus purchase: my notebook from Louise Carmen. I found this brand on TikTok and was instantly captivated by the personalization of their handcrafted and refillable notebooks. I was so excited to put my pen to use and write down my manifestations and reflections.
What’s a beauty product that everybody should get their hands on—and why?
I am obsessed with Vacation sunscreen! Not only is the packaging aesthetically pleasing, but it smells amazing and doesn’t leave a white cast.
What’s a place you love to visit—and how do you spend your time there?
Japan has to be my favorite place in the world! I’ve only been once, but I’m already planning my next trip there. I’ve done Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, and next time I want to go to the beaches of Okinawa.
What’s the one summer shoe you can’t recommend enough?
If you know me, you know I love a flip-flop! My favorite brand is from Tidal, but they (sadly) recently closed their business. Havianas is always a good alternative, and the OG of flip-flops! Oh, and honorary mention for thong sandals, aka the ultimate summer shoe!
What’s one accessory you can’t do without—and why?
Sunglasses! You can never have enough, and they are the perfect finishing touch to any outfit!
