Sanrio’s Hello Kitty is receiving an all-new merchandise collection, teaming up with major American fashion designer Anna Sui in celebration of the iconic kitten’s 50th anniversary in 2024. The collection is set to be released later this month.
Via Kuipo Online, a new Hello Kitty 50th anniversary collection by acclaimed designer Anna Sui goes live on April 27, 2024, featuring adorable mobile accessories and bags representing Hello Kitty over the years. The Hello Kitty tote bag costs around US$100 and is joined by the vinyl bag (~$114), smartphone shoulder bag (~$107), iPhone case (~$28) and smartphone strap (~$63). Hello Kitty Releases Special 50th Anniversary Collection With New Uniqlo Line
Hello Kitty and Sanrio take fans back to the ’70s for her 50th anniversary, revealing a retro-inspired clothing collaboration with the popular Uniqlo.
Anna Sui previously worked with Hello Kitty for her 35th anniversary in 2007 on a limited-edition collection. Now marking 50 years, Hello Kitty has already kicked off celebrations with a McDonald’s Happy Meal collab and floral range with BoxLunch, exclusively reported on by CBR. This summer, she looks ahead to a limited-edition glassware collection with JoyJolt, as the popular character hopes to take the top spot in the Sanrio-wide character ranking poll.
