From Rapid City comes word that Dinosaur Park, one of the state’s early tourist attractions, is once again fully operational.
The city celebrated a two-year rehabilitation with a ribbon cutting this month on the $3.6 million project. Part of the renovation included upgrades to the park’s pedestrian pathways in order to make them more accessible to people who have mobility problems. Site interpretations were upgraded, along with viewing areas and safety systems.
“Dinosaur Park is one of the special attractions that make Rapid City so cool,” Mayor Jason Salamun posted on X. “I was honored to help celebrate the grand reopening and welcome folks of all abilities to enjoy this local landmark for generations to come.”
