One of world’s largest tire makers is set to build M facility in Fort Worth

One of the world’s largest tire makers is set to build a new $69 million facility in southern Fort Worth.

Continental Tire is beginning work on a new 752,000-square-foot space at 10101 Old Burleson Road, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation last week.

The site will also include 7,500 square feet of support offices, and the work will be completed in early 2026.

Continental Tire expects to spend around $69 million in construction costs, according to the filing. Dallas-based GSR Andrade Architects are listed as the project’s architect. State filings refer to the project as “Hillwood – Project Road Trip.”

Representatives for Hillwood declined to comment about the project. Continental Tire did not respond to questions before publication.

Details in TDLR filings are preliminary and subject to change.

Tarrant County records show Continental Tire purchased the land from Hillwood in late 2023. The site is in Hillwood’s Risinger/35 Logistics Park area.

It’s the latest addition to the area. Dick’s Sporting Goods announced plans to build an 800,000-square-foot regional distribution center in August.

Continental Tire has maintained a business presence in Dallas-Fort Worth in recent years. In 2017, the German auto part-maker expanded its North Texas distribution hub in Grand Prairie.

Correction: A previous version of this story misstated the estimated construction costs for the project. The Fort Worth Development Services Department provided incorrect information.
