Big Buccaneers Gambling Guide: Week One vs Washington – Bucs Report
We are all excited for another NFL season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preparing to take the field on another attempt to win a Super Bowl. And while that’s great and we love it, it comes with something else that we love just as much.
With the NFL season comes gambling on the NFL. We have the ability to bet on our favorite teams as well as any other team that can make us some money. Here are my favorite bets for the Buccaneers this week in my Big Bucs Gambling Guide.
Bucs – 3.5
Are you kidding me with this? Considering the home team typically gets a 3 point bump in the spread, that means this line indicates that Las Vegas is saying the Bucs are only a half point favorite against Washington on a neutral field. Against a team that finished with the worst record in the NFL last year, that line is nothing less than insulting.
Granted, I do believe the Commanders will be much improved this year. The additions of a new coaching staff as well as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels should get things on track in Washington. However, the Bucs got better this offseason too after winning a playoff game last year.
I’m taking the Bucs to cover this line pretty easily. If you can get this line up to Bucs -5.5 then I believe it’s free money for Bucs bettors. Get this number while you can.
Jalen McMillan Touchdown Scorer +390
New Washington head coach Dan Quinn is no dummy. He established himself as one of the most respected defensive coordinators in the NFL and took the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl as their head coach. He knows how this league operates and what the winning formula looks like.
With that said, he would be a fool to let a star like Mike Evans be the one to beat him this weekend. I would expect a deep safety shaded to him consistently throughout the game. He’ll want to force someone else to drive the offense.
That someone could very well be McMillan. He has been one of the most exciting rookies in the league throughout camp and has already earned the trust of quarterback Baker Mayfield. I expect the Bucs to attack the middle areas of this Washington defense and that’s where McMillan thrives with his excellent route running. At these odds, I like him to find the end zone.
Rachaad White Over 22.5 receiving yards at -114
We all know who Bobby Wagner is. Nine pro bowls, six all pros, future hall of fame linebacker, inferior to Lavonte David. Even at his advanced age he is still playing well and led the NFL in total tackles last year.
However, at this point in his career I don’t trust him in coverage. I believe he has lost a step or two and is vulnerable against the pass. Fortunately, the Buccaneers have one of the best pass catching running backs in the NFL.
Rachaad White had the third most receiving yards among all running backs last season, behind only Christian McCaffery and Breece Hall. He also excelled at forcing missed tackles. Don’t be shocked to see him get 4-6 catches for around 40 yards which would comfortably be over this mark.
Overall Three Leg Parlay +1327
