‘The Future of Anime’: One Piece & New York Fashion Week Reveal Historic Collaboration

One Piece is set to hit one of the world’s most iconic fashion runways when it partners with Steve Aoki on a new collection, dubbed a “unique, high-fashion twist to streetwear.”




Via a press release, Toei Animation’s long-running One Piece anime will make history this month, marking its first appearance at New York Fashion Week (Sep. 6-11). Popular DJ and music producer Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label created the fashion pieces, dubbed the “One Piece Spring Summer 2025 Collection.” It will be presented to an invite-only guest audience, “in a one-of-a-kind immersive runway experience utilizing images and elements from the series,” representing the “future of anime.”



One Piece’s 25th Anniversary Marked by Special Collection at New York Fashion Week

Lisa Yamatoyo, senior director of global marketing for Toei Animation Inc., said in the announcement, “We’re thrilled to partner with Dim Mak to bring this special 25th-anniversary collaboration and first-ever ‘One Piece’ runway collection to New York Fashion Week. The year is not over, and we have more in store for fans during our ‘One Piece’ 25th-anniversary celebration!” The popular series’ anniversary has seen numerous announcements, including luxury watch releases by SEIKO, the non-stop anime stream on YouTube Anytime One Piece, new tech, and fashion releases.

One Piece Appears in Vogue Magazine for Spring Summer 2025 Fashion Collection


Aoki spoke to Vogue in its recent feature, teasing the upcoming “One Piece Spring Summer 2025 Collection.” Via his representative Chapter 2 Agency, he said, “I’d like to highlight how this collection brings a unique, high-fashion twist to streetwear. We’ve incorporated luxe materials and intricate details that elevate each piece, making it not just about comfort and style, but also about craftsmanship and sophistication. I believe in merging the worlds of anime and high fashion, creating a new space where these two cultures meet in a way that hasn’t been done before.” Fans can get a look at Aoki’s previous One Piece collaboration below.


Crunchyroll streams One Piece, celebrating its 25th anniversary and over 1,100 episodes. It’s officially described: “Monkey D.
