Mentor-on-the-Lake Fall Fest promises to provide family entertainment
The seventh Fall Fest in Mentor-on-the-Lake returns Sept. 7 with family friendly entertainment options for children and adults.
The event will be from 2 to 8 p.m. in the area behind City Hall located at 5860 Andrews Road.
Traditional standards such as live music, food trucks and activities for the kids remain on the schedule, but there are some new options that Mayor David Eva said should only add to the enjoyment of residents in attendance.
“New this year is Cousins Maine Lobster food truck. They have been making their way around Lake County and we are lucky to have them here on Saturday,” Eva said. “The band Intense, another local favorite, will be performing for the first time at the festival.”
Intense is scheduled to play from 4 to 8 p.m., Jungle Terry will make an appearance at 4:30 p.m., a magic show will take place at both 2 and 3 p.m., bounce houses, cornhole, Plinko, bubble fun and many non-food vendors selling local items will fill the grounds providing families with plenty of options.
“This has always been a well-attended family event,” Eva said. “We have many non-food vendors coming and proud to have many local sponsors. Our staff works hard to make sure everything goes smoothly. Rain or shine, the festival will run Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m.”
In addition, a police horse will be in attendance.
There is reason for real celebration other than just bringing the summer to a symbolic end as the city is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
T-shirts commemorating the milestone will be available to purchase at the festival.
