College football rankings: Big Ten teams in updated Coaches Poll, AP Top 25 after Week 2
The Big Ten saw a disappointing weekend from two of its top-ranked teams in Week 2 of the college football season.
No. 9 Michigan fell 31-12 to No. 3 Texas at home, while No. 8 Penn State escaped with a 34-27 win over Bowling Green despite trailing at halftime. There’s certainly a chance both teams could drop from the top 10 of the US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25.

Meanwhile, No. 2 Ohio State took care of business against Western Michigan, downing the Broncos 56-0 on the power of six rushing touchdowns, including two each by Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson. Starting QB Will Howard and backup Julian Sayin each threw a touchdown apiece, with freshman receiving phenom Jeremiah Smith notching game highs in catches (five) and receiving yards (119) on top of a touchdown.
