Vallejo native deployed aboard U.S. Navy aircraft carrier sends shoutout to the 49ers for the 2024 football season
Petty Officer 2nd Class Shariya MorfinReynolds and Airman Sebastian Gonzales Perez, both Vallejo natives currently deployed aboard the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier, USS Theodore Roosevelt, wish the San Francisco 49ers good luck during the 2024 football season.
“I’m cheering for the 49ers because my mom loves them, point blank,” said MorfinReynolds.
MorfinReynolds joined the Navy five years ago. Today, MorfinReynolds serves as a culinary specialist aboard Theodore Roosevelt.
“Growing up in Vallejo, I’ve been a big of the 49ers for a while,” said Gonzales Perez. “I love to see how the team has changed throughout the years in a good way.”
Gonzales Perez joined the Navy two years ago. Today, Gonzales Perez serves as an aviation ordnanceman with Strike Fighter Squadron 25 attached to USS Theodore Roosevelt.
As MorfinReynolds and other sailors continue to train and perform missions, they take pride in serving their country in the U.S. Navy.
“Serving in the Navy has made me more courageous and strong,” added MorfinReynolds. “It has encouraged me to do more for myself.”
