This Is the Only Story You Need to Read About Fall’s Coolest Clothing Trends
While the accessories categories of fall fashion are keeping things a bit more tame (relatively speaking), autumn’s clothing trends are here to implore that you be 100 percent on board with whatever look you’re channeling. I want to underscore that I’m not talking about dressing up in costume here, but we are walking a fine line, because commitment to the whole aesthetic is just as important as anything else this season.
Designers highlighted ski bunny details (hoods, faux-fur cuffs, etc), full-on leopard print, 1960s nostalgia, TikTok’s favorite “office siren” style, and color-blocking with layers—all of which are really going to need you to not half-ass it. Take a gander for yourself to figure out how you want to style these trends, then shop the pieces that speak to you!

Leopard Print
Animal print and fall fashion basically go hand-in-hand at this point. And the king of the animal styles has, and always will be, leopard print. This season is no exception. Thank god leopard is now considered a neutral, because wearing it with everything is going to be my entire personality.

’60s
Mod has returned. So if you’re a fan of A-line silhouettes, Peter Pan collars, gloves, mini skirts, and statement boots, this is your next fashion hyper fixation. I’ve loved all the ’90s and 2000s throwbacks recently, but it was definitely time for a new decade to have its nostalgic moment. BRB, channeling my inner Jackie Kennedy and Twiggy while blasting Diana Ross.

Layered Colors
One of the best things about fall is the ability to layer clothing, and this season, designers like Miu Miu want you to do this in the most colorful, stacked way possible. Wear a red dress with an orange coat and teal shoes, for example. Have fun with complimentary colors, contrasting hues, or blending a mix that looks good to you. To really have fun, mix an match a bunch of split colored items. You really can’t go wrong here, since even “clashing” ends up looking so good.

Ski Bunny Pieces
This one is all in the details. If you’d wear it on the slopes…or après the slopes in the chalet with a glass of wine in hand, it’s trendy. Think hoods, faux fur, fuzzy sweaters, turtlenecks, chunky boots, puffer coats! This one has me excited for winter already, I’m not going to lie.

Office Siren
You might know the trend as one of TikTok’s favorite aesthetics, but designers have solidified it as a bonafied trend of the season. Suit up in blazers, trousers, button-downs and loafers in this very classic, tailored look with a bit of a pin-up edge. Corporate girlies, fashion sees you.
