LANCASTER — The City of Lancaster will hold a public meeting today to help shape the future of local entertainment.
The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at American Heroes Park, 701 West Kettering St.
Residents can share their thoughts on the types of artists, events and cultural offerings they want to see in their home town. Keen Independent Research, a renowned consultant specializing in community engagement, has been brought on board to assess the city’s entertainment landscape and identify opportunities to better serve the community.
The 1½-hour meeting will feature a flexible, station-based structure, allowing participants to provide feedback on multiple topics of interest in a self-directed manner. Attendees are encouraged to come and go as is convenient within the meeting period. The event will begin with a brief presentation, followed by time to visit interactive stations, complete surveys, and engage in discussions. Keen Independent will also set up five stations throughout the room, where comment cards and pens will be available for additional input.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our residents to directly influence the events and entertainment options in our city,” Mayor R. Rex Parris said. “We want to hear from everyone on what makes Lancaster special and how we can continue to grow and improve our offerings. Your voice matters, and this is your chance to help shape the future of entertainment in Lancaster.”
