Your London Fashion Week SS25 cheat sheet is finally here

Though we might be biased, being a UK-based publication and all, but London Fashion Week is definitely the best one of the bunch. No, it may not have the megawatt celebrity sightings of New York, or the heritage houses of Milan, but who needs that when you’ve got the coolest young designers pushing our ideas of what fashion can be – plus an undefeated party circuit, too. With big hitters like Burberry and JW Anderson making a return, new faces like Yaku Stapleton arriving for their debuts, and brands like Chopova Lowena transitioning from a fledgling label to schedule regular, the SS25 season is set to be one of the most interesting in years. For everything to look forward to in London over the coming week, see our handy guide below.

LONDON FASHION WEEK CHEAT SHEET

Kicking things off at 10am on Friday is Greek designer Di Petsa, who’s expected to bring her ecofeminist lens to menswear for the very first time. Later on that day, Olly Shinder returns to the talent incubator Fashion East at 6pm, accompanied by catwalk newcomers LOUTRE and Nuba. Founded by Pia Schiele, LOUTRE’s urban style is inspired by skate culture, while the menswear brand Nuba is Cameron Williams and Jebi Labembika’s ode to their African and Caribbean roots. And straight after Fashion East is Chopova Lowena at 7pm, with designers Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons making an IRL comeback after their digital lookbook for AW24.

Over in the NEWGEN space at 180 Studios, CSM-alum Yaku Stapleton will be arriving on the official schedule for the first time, putting together an ambitious presentation involving a performance with 18 actors, while Karoline Vitto will also bring her cast of size-inclusive models to BFC’s NEWGEN scheme. Also at 180 Studios across the week is Tolu Coker with an ode to British-Nigerian matriarchs, rising star Luke Derrick with his menswear label DERRICK, plus Rihanna’s new favourite designer Jawara Alleyne. Will the Bajan megastar be making a trip across the pond to sit front row at his show? You’ll have to wait until Sunday to see.

Elsewhere, Ashley Williams is back for another one of her rare catwalk shows, Aaron Esh returns for his anticipated third runway, Skepta’s MAINS label has previewed some multicoloured wigs for its Saturday night show, and KNWLS brings its It-girl attitude to the Sunday schedule. In addition to that, Burberry’s blockbuster show has been shifted from Monday’s closing slot to earlier in the day at 4pm, while JW Anderson is up early for brunch at 11am on Sunday. And if all that wasn’t enough, in better-late-than-never fashion, style disruptor Mowalola today announced that she’d be crashing the calendar for her seventh show Dirty Pop on September 16.
