The 2024 CFDA Fashion Award Nominations Are Here

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has announced the nominees for its 2024 Fashion Awards, set to take place at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on October 28.

Nominees for American Menswear Designer of the Year include Mike Amiri for Amiri, Emily Adams Bode Aujla for Bode, Thom Browne, Todd Snyder and Willy Chavarria. Meanwhile, Rachel Scott for Diotima, Marc Jacobs, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, Thom Browne and Tory Burch are up for American Womenswear Designer of the Year.

In the American Accessory Designer of the Year category, the nominees are Ana Khouri, Stuart Vevers for Coach, Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Raul Lopez for Luar and Tory Burch. The Shop With Google American Emerging Designer of the Year trophy, meanwhile, will go to Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell for Tanner Fletcher, Jackson Wiederhoeft for Wiederhoeft, Connor McKnight, Presley Oldham or Henry Zankov for Zankov Ankov.

The International Designer of the Year award will be presented to Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli, while the Positive Change Award will go to Michael Kors for his philanthropic efforts with Watch Hunger Stop, United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and God’s Love We Deliver.

Stephen Burrows will take home the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, and photographer Annie Leibovitz will earn the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard. The Board of Directors award, previously bestowed upon the likes of Virgil Alboh, Tom Ford and Michelle Obama, will be renamed to the Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Tribute, in honor of the late Cuban-American designer.

“This year’s nominees and honorees represent the gamut of American fashion creativity and excellence,” said Steven Kolb, chief executive of the CFDA, in a statement. “As our biggest fundraiser of the year, the CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion significantly contributes to the CFDA Scholarship Fund to support tomorrow’s generation of designers and future nominees and honorees of this special night, and we are grateful to Amazon Fashion for their leadership.”
