Fort Sill Employment Readiness Program hosts job fair containing variety of vendors

FORT SILL, Okla. (KSWO) – The Fort Sill Employment Readiness Program hosted its annual Job and Education Fair on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Army Community Service.

The hiring event connects vendors with those seeking employment opportunities — with a focus on local employment and educational opportunities.

Among the 35 vendors included Comanche County Memorial Hospital, American Military University and the Comanche Nation Police Department.

The event was aimed at Military Spouses, transitioning Service Members, Veterans and DA Civilians.

“This event can be extremely important, especially to the people who are new to the area and looking for employment after PCS season especially. And also for the service members who are getting out of the military or veterans who are having a hard time relocating,” said Tiffany Denard, Employment Readiness Program Specialist. “So it can be very beneficial for them to come in, do some networking, see what is available in the local community and potentially get a job offer.”

If you missed the Sept. 12 event — officials say they have another job fair planned for October.
