No. 24 Boston College somehow turns errant snap into wide-open 67-yard TD against No. 6 Missouri

No. 24 Boston College got an improbable touchdown against No. 6 Missouri after QB Thomas Castellanos had to scramble to retrieve the snap.

Castellanos was apparently not ready for a second quarter snap while in the shotgun and the ball sailed past him to his left. He ran back to retrieve the ball and after he picked it up, Reed Harris was somehow wide open along the left sideline.

Did Missouri think the play got blown dead? The entire Tigers defense seemed a little slow to react and the secondary just lost Harris behind it.

The touchdown officially went for 67 yards as Boston College took a 14-3 lead on the Tigers. The TD pass was the second of the day for Castellanos after he threw for a fourth-down score on Boston College’s opening drive of the game. The Eagles’ two-score lead has been aided by Missouri penalties as third-down flags on the Tigers’ defense helped lead to both Boston College touchdowns.
