Watch EW And PEOPLE’s live red carpet show at the Emmys

For pop culture fans, the best part of the Emmys has to be seeing many of the nominess, who happen to be the biggest names in television — the likes of The Bear‘s Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White! Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, from The Morning Show! — all gathered in one spot.

Once again, Entertainment Weekly will cover the red carpet with a star-studded pre-show. Hosted by Entertainment Weekly editor-in-chief Patrick Gomez and PEOPLE editor-at-large Janine Rubenstein, the PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly Red Carpet Live: 76th Emmy Awards show will feature interviews with your favorite celebrities as they arrive for the event being held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The pre-show will be streamed on EW and PEOPLE’s websites and social channels, including YouTube, TikTok, X, Instagram, and Facebook, as well as the Roku Channel, from 6 p.m. ET-8 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT- 5 p.m. PT. The ceremony itself, hosted by Eugene Levy and son Dan Levy, follows at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC.

Going into the night, The Bear — the FX on Hulu series about the inner workings of a Chicago restaurant — leads in the comedy category with 23 nominations. The network’s historical epic Shōgun earned 25 nominations of its own in the drama category. Stars Anna Sawai, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Takehiro Hira, and Néstor Carbonell accounted for five of those.

Other shows nominated include the comedies Abbott Elementary, Only Murders in the Building, Hacks, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, as well as dramas like The Crown, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and The Gilded Age. Check out the full list of Emmy nominations.

This will actually be the second time this year statuettes are being awarded for primetime fare, after the 2023 gala was postponed due to the dual strike of writers and actors. The latest Emmys will recognize work released between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.
