London Fashion Week models kiss passionately as they showcase risqué cut-out outfits for designer Sinead O’Dwyer

London Fashion Week has always had an edgy and experimental feel but Irish designer Sinead O’Dwyer’s show today pushed the boundaries even further.

Models dressed in O’Dwyer’s signature lattice leggings and skimpy, cut-out dresses not only walked the runway but shared passionate kisses while seated amongst long grass and wild flowers.

With their bodies pressed against each other, the models – some with long, flowing hair and others with pigtails – appeared absorbed in the shocking performance on Monday.

Unlike the exclusively tall, slim models who tend to dominate the catwalks, those wearing the 33-year-old designer’s creations had more curvaceous figures, which they proudly showed off in corseted tops and skin-tight denim.

Royal College of Art graduate O’Dwyer ‘channels her own and her loved ones’ struggles with body dysmorphia’ into her designs, according to Dazed

‘Moulded around the bodies of many of her friends, the vibrantly-hued pieces, which sit somewhere between fashion and art, celebrate the bits women have been conditioned to hide,’ the fashion site added.

O’Dwyer has previously worked with British fashion designer Gareth Pugh and counts Icelandic singer Björk amongst her celebrity fans.

In August, London-based O’Dwyer was able to show her designs at Copenhagen Fashion Week as the winner of the prestigious Zalando Visionary Award.

Meanwhile, on the first day of London Fashion Week on Friday, September 13, models dared to bare as they took to the catwalk in an array of bizarre looks.

For womenswear label Di Petsa, topless appeared to be the running theme of its event as the brand, which was established in London in 2019 by Greek designer Dimitra Petsa, showcased its creations.

The relatively new fashion firm has quickly become popular with A-listers, including Gigi Hadid, Doja Cat, Bella Hadid, and FKA Twigs.

But despite the influx of support from celebrities, the daring runway looks showcased last week in the Spring/Summer 2024 collection are likely to leave mouths wide open.

Most the quirky creations failed to offer any kind of coverage for the scantily-clad catwalkers – with several appearing topless or wearing garments with daring cut-out detailing.

One stunning individual sported a pair of cream and red trousers, whilst wearing a matching strappy accessory across their naked chest.

Another topless model turned heads in an intricate low-cut maxi skirt, featuring cut-out detailing along either side of the garment.

Finishing off the outfit with a touch of glitz, the catwalker wore a dazzling necklace that cascaded down their chest.

Elsewhere, a model showcased a sheer ensemble, including a billowing skirt and a halterneck top with three cut-outs.

Often walking with their hands in the air, the models showcased an array of unique designs – including one who wore only a chain across their top and a pair of gold pants.

Leaving very little to the imagination, they finished off the bizarre look with a pair of cream shoes and a shimmering necklace.
