The 15 Most Exciting Jewelry Moments From New York Fashion Week

The New York Fashion Week spring collections have just finished, but the jewelry is still on my mind. From oversize silhouettes at Palomo Spain to nipple embellishments at Area, the accessories were the hero moments of many collections. See below for the top 15 jewelry moments to add to your SS25 moodboard.

Is it an earring? Is it a necklace? Maybe it’s both. Only Pieter Mulier knows. Nevertheless, these chain necklaces suspended from the ears at Alaïa’s spring show at the Guggenheim are now at the top of my most-wanted list. They added a simple yet unexpected touch to a show that was otherwise bulbous and textured, which is exactly what I am looking for in jewelry.

Women’s History Museum is a small New York City–based brand created by design duo Mattie Barringer and Amanda McGowan. They’ve quickly become known for their exciting, experimental designs, and this shark-tooth ensemble is the perfect example of that.

Founded in 2014 by Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Panszczyk, Area had its tenth-anniversary show this New York Fashion Week. To celebrate? A collection showcasing its outlandish designs. And nothing quite says “The devil is in the details” like matching your nipples to your necklace. Nipples aside, this evil-eye necklace will make any outfit look interesting, and as a bonus it can keep bad vibes away.

Coach showed for the first time on the Highline, showcasing lots of short dresses and oversize jackets. On some of the looks, it added these great chunky silver earrings.

Willy Chavarría’s latest collection was a love letter to the American working class, specifically immigrants. Tailored looks inspired by working uniforms came out paired with keys (accented with a crucifix), exemplifying just how much power “jewelry” can hold.
