TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -Two people have been arrested in connection with an investigation into gambling machines in Tallahassee.

Arrest papers revealed that 42-year-old MD Fayez and 46-year-old Sonea Ahmed are both facing several charges related to gambling. Fayez was arrested Monday, according to his arrest report.

Their arrests come after illegal gambling machines were confiscated from ten local gas stations last month, with eight of them being located in Leon County. More than $17,000 was seized from 21 confiscated machines, including both slot machines and coin pushes, according to the FGCC.

Ten arrests were made in connection with the investigation.

Amhed is set to appear in court on Oct. 31, according to the Leon County Clerk of Court records, and Fayez will appear in court Oct. 10.
