Kellie Walters named new operations manager NMB Aquatic & Fitness MyrtleBeachSC News
The City of North Myrtle Beach announced the appointment of Kellie Walters as the new Operations Manager of the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center, effective Monday, September 16, 2024. Walters succeeds Melinda Chappell, who retired after 23 years of dedicated service.
Kellie Walters brings over two decades of experience in managing and working in aquatic and fitness facilities. Her impressive career includes serving as Director of the Monroe Aquatic and Fitness Center in North Carolina and as Association Executive Aquatic Director for the YMCA in Pennsylvania.

“I am truly honored to take on this role and lead the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center,” said Kellie Walters. “I look forward to collaborating with the talented team here to build upon the strong foundation laid by my predecessor.”
Among her many accomplishments, Walters is particularly proud of establishing a diversability school at the YMCA in Pennsylvania, which provided children with disabilities crucial skills in water safety and swimming.
