October Prime Day Announced: Amazon's Massive Sale Event Kicks Off Oct. 8

Amazon’s second Prime Day event of the year, called Prime Big Deal Days is set to take place Oct. 8 and 9, Amazon announced Tuesday. Kicking off at 12:01 a.m. PT, the 48-hour event will be packed with members-only savings, offering exclusive discounts for Amazon Prime members across thousands of items. Membership to Amazon Prime comes with plenty of perks, but its shopping events are among the most popular.

“We’re gearing up for another exciting holiday shopping season, filled with unbeatable deals on beloved brands, seasonal products, and popular gifts available exclusively for Prime members,” said Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime.

Some of the brands taking part in next month’s event include Beats, Samsung, Fujifilm, Barbie, Disney and Clinique. You’ll see plenty of seasonal deals for fall, including Halloween costumes and accessories, as well as winter apparel. Additionally, the Prime Big Deal Days event will slash prices on top tech, everyday essentials and even Amazon’s own devices. And since we’re still a few weeks away from the big event, you still have time to prepare for the shopping extravaganza.

The 10th iteration of Prime Day took place July 16 and 17, offering massive price cuts on everything from tech to school supplies. We expect to see plenty of incredible discounts this time around, too. Other retailers are likely to launch competing sales as well, making it a great time to stock up on everything you need as we head into the holiday season.

Amazon’s October Prime Day event will be taking place in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the UK and the US. Prime members in Japan will be able to shop Prime Big Deal Days later in October, according to Amazon.
