Pennsylvania pizzeria among world’s very best, says Italian report
Italy is a country known for its fabulous food, one of the most famous arguably being pizza.
So if a report hailing from Italy says your pizza is good, you best believe they know what they’re talking about.
50 Top Pizza — an Italy-based pizzeria ranker that analyzes pies in individual countries, regions, and the world — just release its annual “50 Top Pizza World 2024” list.
While the number one spot belongs to Una Pizza Napoletana in New York, N.Y., Philadelphia, Pa,’s Pizzeria Beddia once again made it onto the list, claiming the 13th overall spot. It was the only spot in Pennsylvania that managed to make it onto the report.
Located in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood, this isn’t Pizzeria Beddia’s first rodeo as far as positive recognition goes: As previously stated, 50 Top Pizza has ranked the joint amongst the best pizza spots multiple times before, and other publications have done similarly.
Even Barstool Sport’s Dave Portnoy — a hefty pizza sampler himself — has ranked Pizzeria Beddia himself, bequeathing upon it a 7.4 out of 10.
Heck, even Pennsylvania as a whole is no stranger to pizza accolades: A study from just a couple of weeks ago claimed the Keystone State was number one out of the 50 for getting a pie. Philadelphia, too, ranked fifth overall when it came to U.S. cities in general.
Rounding out the top five on the most recent international Top 50 Pizza list were Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria in Naples, Italy (second place); I Masanielli – Francesco Martucci in Caserta, Italy (also second place); The Pizza Bar on 38th in Tokyo, Japan (third); Confine in Milan, Italy (fourth); and Napoli on the Road in London, England (fifth).
