World RX to return to Finland in 2025 – BlackBook Motorsport

World Rallycross (World RX) will return to Finland in 2025 after a long-term agreement was signed by Rallycross Promoter with the Kymiring.

Contract:

  • Multi-year agreement will see World RX return to Finland for first time since 2020
  • Kymiring will be on the World RX schedule for at least the next three years

Context:

Located close to the city of Kouvola, 150km north-east of Helsinki, Kymiring will be used in the world championship for the first time as part of a project spearheaded by TRP Hungary in alignment with the Finnish ASN, AKK motorsport organisation.

The return of WRX will please fans in Finland, which has produced a number of FIA European champions.

Comment:

Arne Dirks, managing director of Rallycross Promoter, said: “Finland has a world-renowned motorsport culture and a proud history in our sport specifically, adding more significance to us returning there for the first time since 2020.

“Just as importantly, we are going there with a partner we know well and have full confidence in delivering a spectacular new addition to the calendar.”
