With Hunter Lawrence, Chase Sexton, and Jett Lawrence, who are first, second, and third in this championship, all in a winner-take-all scenario, the stakes couldn’t be higher for tonight’s racing. Win the overall, win the championship, and the $1 Million that comes with it. The huge payday is a massive motivator for these guys, which is something they mentioned multiple times in yesterday’s press conference. Do they want to beat each other? Sure, but each of the three pointed out several times how all they’re thinking about is going home with a stack of money.

In the 250 Class there’s less championship drama, as Haiden Deegan has a big lead on Tom Vialle and only has to get third or better to win the championship, and $500,000. Considering he’s won every single SMX moto so far, this shouldn’t be a problem. He still has a goal he’s shooting for though, and that’s completing the clean sweep. In yesterday’s press conference he said he wasn’t worried about being able to wrapp up the title, and that he’d love to go 1-1 on Saturday to put the finishing touches on an a perfect SMX run.
