Jennifer Lopez Co-Signs The Boho Revival with a Suede Fringe Bag

In case you missed it, the bohemian aesthetic is making a comeback, and leading the trend is none other than Jennifer Lopez. Indeed, the devoted Birkin enthusiast has put her stamp of approval on the free-flowing trend with gauzy maxi dresses, patchwork denim skirts, and plenty of raffia accessories. Earlier this month, she leaned into the look like never before, showing off a sheer, ruffled dress from Chloé complete with matching slouchy boots.

And while the latter ensemble seemed to hit the tip of the boho iceberg, Lopez proved she could take the aesthetic even farther with her latest outfit. On Saturday, the star stepped out in Beverly Hills, wearing a look that channeled the original boho movement of the ‘70s (and a dash of the early ‘00s). Per photos published by People, the “Can’t Get Enough” singer was spotted in a black top with bell-bottom jeans, looking cozy while cuddled up in a heavyweight, knit burgundy cardigan.

It was truly her playful accessories, however, that brought her laidback look to life. Most notably, a burgundy suede crossbody bag—reminiscent of Y2K Chloé designs—flaunted a circular cutout outlined by a silver trim, as well as streams of dangling fringe. The groovy trimming extended down past Lopez’s knees, undoubtedly making the statement-making purse the centerpiece of her outfit.

Another noughties revival seemed to come through in her black newsboy cap, which she tucked her brown hair into. Doubling down on her incognito look, the star added a large pair of black square sunglasses to her ensemble, although her signature gold hoops ensured she was still recognizable.

Last week, J.Lo wore a similar outfit for her surprising reunion with ex Ben Affleck, whom she filed for divorce from in August. For their lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel—where they were joined by Lopez’s 16-year-old twins Emme and Max, as well as Affleck’s 15-year-old Fin and 12-year-old Samuel—Lopez wore a pair of flared dark blue jeans, styled with a body-hugging turtleneck. She accessorized with a smattering of silver rings, although she notably wore her engagement ring on her pinky finger.
