Smith Aquatic & Fitness Center Pool to begin modified hours

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The Smith Aquatic & Fitness Center Lap & Recreational pool begins modified hours due to lifeguard shortages.

Starting Monday, September 23 the pool will be closed from Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

According to the Smith Aquatic & Fitness Center, the pool schedule will be updated once its current staffing shortage is resolved.

This closure includes the zero-depth/lazy river and slide pool.

The upstairs fitness area will remain open.
