Travel Insurance Isn’t One-Size-Fits-All – Bus & Motorcoach News

Travel insurance is an important piece of your revenue puzzle. If your company offers travel programs and trips, don’t skip out on a travel insurance program! Not only can you provide your customers with added peace of mind, but you can earn additional revenue for your business. Travelers are more inclined than ever to protect their trips from the unexpected with a travel insurance plan, even for shorter, domestic trips.

Through a partnership between UMA and USI Travel Insurance Services, you have access to a travel insurance program designed with you and your travelers in mind. There is no cost to you to participate, and you’ll receive a 30% program fee each time a customer buys your travel insurance plan. Program sign up is fast and simple, and USI provides everything you need to market the plan, including a branded website, marketing flyer and training for you and your staff.

Plans with Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) Coverage

Today’s travelers seek flexibility, so more travelers are interested in the Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) optional plan upgrade. This upgrade allows a traveler to cancel for reasons not included on the plan (such as fear of travel or simply changing their mind) and still be reimbursed for most of their non-refundable trip payment.

Additional Plan Types

In addition to our standard trip cancellation plan that’s priced based on traveler age and trip cost, we also offer a non-age based plan, wherein the only variable to the rating is the trip cost. Many organizations are choosing this type of plan for its simplicity in quoting for their travelers.

If you offer group trips, you may also consider group coverage. For a lower cost than individual trip cancellation plans, you can cover all travelers on your trips, particularly for emergency medical expense and emergency medical evacuation. These plans do not include trip cancellation coverage, so many travelers still opt to buy the single trip cancellation plan in addition to the group coverage, but with the group coverage, you are ensuring that ALL travelers have at least a minimum level of coverage, even if they don’t buy an individual plan.

Now is the time to sign up.
