Experience

While music and agriculture reporting highlighted the start of Debra’s career, over the years she branched out to travel and outdoor life verticals. As a bit of a rambler, time on the open road led to a variety of her travel stories for RV and van life articles. Most of Debra’s travel experiences come from airline travel. Her first flight was for a FAM trip in Mobile, Alabama, and from then on, she was hooked. Over the past decade, she booked flights for most of her travels, and close to 50 of those flights usually included the standby option.
The primary focus is still travel, and Debra’s byline has appeared in regional prints such as AAA Southern Traveler, AAA Go!, along with a variety of other regional prints.

Debra is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and enjoys courses in photography and graphic design as well.
