Preps underway for Vintage Now Fashion Show
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Preparations are underway for the 15th annual Vintage Now Fashion Show.
At Fitness Plus, in Cape Girardeau, dancers are warming up for the upcoming event.
“There’s not only just fashion, there’s dancers, performers, art,” explained Maggie McTigue, with Vintage Now. “There’s a lot of stuff going on so we`re practicing for the dancing part to perform.”
The fundraiser benefits the Safe House of Southeast Missouri which helps women and men who are victims of domestic violence.
“It was created by Deb Maveurs and she saw a vision of a benefit that would be a fundraiser for the Safe House of Southeast Missouri,” said Sara Hussman, with Vintage Now.
This year’s theme is “EmPOWER: Journey to the Future.”
“A need in the community and she brought women together to help fulfill that need by putting on one of the greatest shows in Cape Girardeau, Missouri,” said Jessica Yeo, with Vintage Now.
This year’s event will take place at the Show Me Center on Saturday, October 12.
Tickets can be purchased at Pastimes Antiques” or online here.
Organizers say last year’s event raised more than $167,000 to support the Safe House and more than 2,300 attended.
