The Compass Center
Sydney Bartunek has been named the chief development and communications officer for The Compass Center. She previously managed the Youth Voices in Prevention Program at the center. Her background includes founding Move To Heal South Dakota, directing communications at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and leading marketing efforts at Sanford Health Marketing, Lawrence & Schiller, USD School of Education and USA Today Network.
The Compass Center has hired Maranda Hardwick as manager of the Youth Voices in Prevention Program. She also serves as a supervising therapist II. Her credentials include MA, LPC, LPC-MH, IoWA-PCIT training and CCTP certification. She has experience in teen and young adult therapy, and parent-child interaction therapy.

John Witzke of Blue Star Investments has been promoted to director of membership sales for Anytime Fitness. Witzke started his career with Blue Star in October 2023 as membership sales manager. His work supports the 43 Anytime Fitness clubs in 11 states.
Washington Pavilion Management
Washington Pavilion Management Inc. has appointed Nathan Brand as chief financial officer. Brand worked for 13 years in health care finance at Avera and Sanford, including seven years as a finance director. He replaces Jane Hathaway, who has served the Washington Pavilion in finance for more than a quarter-century. Hathaway is transitioning out of the role in preparation for her retirement and will serve as controller for the organization and assist Brand.
