Anya Taylor-Joy Is a Dream in a Cream Crochet Look at Dior’s Spring 2025 Paris Fashion Week Show
Anya Taylor-Joy looked sublime in a cream crochet skirt and top set from Dior’s cruise 2025 collection at the luxury label’s spring 2025 show on Tuesday during Paris Fashion Week.
The actress arrived in a military green coat lined with Dior’s logo thrown over her shoulders with tough platform combat boots. Her long blonde locks were left loose and her makeup was minimal, save for her cool, smudged smoky eyes.
The “Mad Max: Furiosa” star’s look was pulled straight from Dior’s Scottish-inspired cruise collection, which took place in the grand gardens of Scotland’s 15th-century Drummond Castle.
For that collection, designer Maria Grazia Chiuri drew inspiration from Mary Queen of Scots. “Mary Stuart’s wardrobe mixed very fragile lace with velvet, and there was a dialogue between very different materials,” Chiuri told WWD‘s Samantha Conti during a preview for the cruise collection.
“In the show we mixed together sportswear with fragile materials. Corsets act like accessories, while cotton and wool fabrics come with embroideries.”
The actress was one of many famous faces in attendance. She rubbed shoulders with Natalie Portman, Jisoo, Rosalia, Nam Joo-hyuk, and Rosalie Pike inside the show’s blue marble venue.
Like Tayor-Joy, Portman was also dressed in a look from the brand’s cruise collection, a corset, bolero, and bubble skirt.
A-listers looked on as Chiuri’s show, which nodded to the warrior goddesses of ancient Greek mythology, opened with a hail of arrows. They arrived courtesy of the multidisciplinary artist and competitive archer SAGG Napoli, who opened fire at a target.
Luckily, the celebrities had nothing to fear: Napoli, wearing a sporty asymmetric minidress with a pleated skirt, was safely enclosed in a glass room.
Taylor-Joy was named a global Dior brand ambassador in 2021, and has represented the design house’s women’s fashion and makeup ever since.
Most recently, while celebrating the premiere of “Furiosa” at Cannes Film Festival, the actress wore an angelic beige embroidered Dior tulle gown on the red carpet before changing into a black beaded minidress for the post-premiere party.
