The surprise addition to the annual free music festival will now stretch through Sunday (Sept. 29), coinciding with the iconic Coventry Sidewalk Sale, running from noon to 7 p.m.

It will round out a three-day Heights Music Hop weekend starting Friday (Sept. 27) in the Cedar-Fairmount district, and then Saturday (Sept. 28) in the Cedar-Lee district.

As for Sunday, “it promises to be a friendly, funky and full afternoon of music, creativity, and community fun,” noted Matt Moore, executive director of the Coventry Village Special Improvement District, as part of a SID press release.

Festival-goers can enjoy live performances from a stellar lineup, including among others:

— The David Mayfield Parade

— Nathan-Paul

— Da Land Brass Band

— Hey Mavis

— Jacob B. Johnson

— A Folknet stage curated by Charlie Mosbrook, the president of the board for the nonprofit musical organization

For those looking to hone their own musical skills, a special songwriting workshop will be hosted by Terra (Elijah Bisbee).

In addition to the live music, Coventry Village will be buzzing with unique vendors and attractions:
