Rainier-backed Omega Fitness acquires 21 Wisconsin gyms from MDS Fitness | PE Hub

Omega Fitness, a portfolio company of Rainier Partners, has acquired 21 gyms in Wisconsin from MDS Fitness. No financial terms were disclosed.

Omega Fitness is an Anytime Fitness franchisee. The company now has over 120 gyms in California, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

“Since day one, we knew we had a big runway ahead of us. We have been laser-focused on deploying our SUMMIT value creation playbook in partnership with Omega Fitness to seamlessly integrate the acquired businesses both operationally and financially into Omega’s strong platform,” said Rainier’s director of portfolio operations Dave Shephard in a statement. “We are thrilled with how the company is performing and will continue to support its leadership team.”

Based in Seattle, Rainier Partners invests in lower middle market services businesses. The firm has over $375 million in assets under management.
