The Unspoken Rules About Shopping for Disney Souvenirs at ALDI

We love shopping for Disney souvenirs especially when we can get them outside of Disney too, right?

Now, ALDI has become one of our TOP places to shop for Disney-related items recently. You wouldn’t have thought it, but this supermarket chain offers a whole host of Disney souvenirs, toys, theme park essentials, and more! Now, all of that got us thinking about shopping in-store for any of these items at ALDI and we thought we’d roundup the unspoken rules you should follow when shopping for Disney souvenirs at ALDI!

Let’s dive right into these unspoken rules!

Timing is Everything (Be There Early!)

Here’s the deal, if you’re serious about snagging the best Disney goodies, you need to be there the moment they drop. ALDI releases new deals every Wednesday, and trust me, you’re not the only one who has noticed. Between hardcore Disney fans and those resellers, it can feel like a mad dash the minute the doors open.

Also, by the time the Facebook Disney groups have shared their finds, it’s often going to be too late for you if you weren’t already there bright and early. So, set that alarm and plan to arrive right when the store opens. And honestly, if you’re not there on day one, the likelihood of scoring what you want dramatically decreases.

Additionally, Wednesdays aren’t just important because it’s when new items drop, but also because it’s when the stores restock. So, if you’re planning a mid-week Disney merch hunt and want to check out what’s new, swing by EARLY on a Wednesday morning.

That being said, it isn’t always guarantee that every item will be restocked or that your store will put it out on the day it’s supposed to go on the shelves (You know what we’re talking about — major bummer!). Either way, the sooner you go, the better your chances are of finding that brand-new Disney item that everyone on Instagram is talking about.

Don’t Forget Your Quarter!

One thing that trips up first-time ALDI shoppers is the cart situation. ALDI uses what we might consider a “fee” for using their carts (or like a cart rental system). What we mean is that you’ll need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart (you get the quarter back when you return the cart).

So, don’t forget your quarter! Keep one in your car, your purse, wherever. Just have it ready, and that way you won’t be stuck either hauling armfuls of stuff or asking strangers for change.

You Might Be Able to Order Online Now

ALDI is stepping up its game. Some locations are allowing online orders with curbside pickup, which is an absolute game-changer for those of us who don’t want all the hassle. While this might not be available everywhere yet, it’s worth checking out in the ALDI app or website to see if your store offers it.

Ultimately, this could save you from having to make a mad dash through the aisles, especially if your local ALDI tends to get crowded on restock days. You’ll still need to be quick to snag your favorites, but at least you won’t have to battle it out in-store.

That’s all we’ve got for you at the moment. We’d definitely recommend checking out ADLI as early as you can!
